For tomorrow’s session, especially given the Alabama rulings regarding frozen embryos, I wanted to open up the discussion to focus on the impact of cancer on fertility and family planning. Rather than going around and having everyone introduce themselves, I thought I’d let individual concerns and questions naturally guide the discussion. Please message me if you have any concerns or questions.

One of the things I feel we lack the most is the very thing that many of us need: community. But building a community takes hard work. It’s vulnerable, risky, and sometimes uncomfortable- until the magic happens. You slowly start to find your people, the trust grows, and the burden is lifted.
That leads me to my proposal: meet me tomorrow for an hour. When polled, many of you said that you felt you would benefit from virtual groups, but it’s hard to motivate ourselves after a long day to hop on a call and talk about the worst thing in our lives with a group of strangers.
But that’s where the magic lives! I’m honored to say that I’ve led thousands of groups over the years.
The goals of the call include:
The option to share whichever aspects of our personal stories we’d like to share
Ask the group for resources/advice/more information on topics like mental health, nutrition, treatment management, parenting through cancer, and more
Feel less alone :) and more understood
That’s my pitch for this morning. I hope to see you tonight!
When: 7:30-8:30pm ET
Where: MTC Monthly Hangout
